The Delhi Metro register has now has the signature of President of India, as President Pratibha Patil took an hour ride on the Delhi Metro with high security today.
The President had boarded a special four-coach train from Udyog Bhawan station and went up to Sultanpur and returned from there.
She was accompanied by senior Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Rashtrapati Bhavan officials during her one-hour ride.
The DMRC showcased the facilities and technologies being undertaken in the Metro. She was also shown an exhibition on Metro's history and other statistics during the short trip.
President was keen to visit the Metro as it is becomes the lifeline of the Delhi and NCR areas.
The DMRC had also assured that normal operations of the Metro were carried out during Patil's trip.
