Anuradha Bali alias Fiza Mohammad had converted to Islam and was practicing the Muslim religion today cremated as per Hindu rites by her relatives. Less than half a dozen relatives, including her uncle Satpal were present at the burning ghat.
Her relatives informed that she had ended her roza on July 30 but the he family claimed that since she was originally a Hindu, her last rites should be performed as per Hindu rituals.
Earlier, doctors at a government hospital at Mohali conducted post-mortem of her highly decomposed body and said there were no signs of any external injury.
A few workers of Fiza-e-hind, the NGO floated by her, came to the cremation ground later on.
One of the workers, Naseem Ahmed, said, “She had invited us over to break the roza on July 30. We were shocked to learn the news that she has died. We do not believe that she was under depression.”
A befitting lesson for woman who in view of their vaulting ambition developed close affinity for their dirty politicians mint money and meet with tragedy of such kind. The money recovered must be added to the income of Chand Mohan former Deputy Chief Minister and should be imposed tax.
