Anuradha Bali alias Fiza, the estranged wife of former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan aka Chand Mohammad allegedly found dead at her residence in Mohali. According to initial reports, Fiza's dead body was found in a decomposed state.
Meanwhile Mohan has denied having any information about her. He said that he was not in touch with her ever since he divorced her in 2009.
Police said that no marks were found on Fiza's body and they are probing the matter. "Her uncle called up and said that Fiza's dead body has been found, seems like it happened 3-4 days ago," said Mohali DSP City 1 DS Mann.
Fiza courted controversy with her alliance with Mohammed Chand, former Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana. A lawyer by profession, Fiza's marriage to Mohammed Chand in 2009 and her subsequent divorce were under constant media scrutiny.
Chander Mohan was disowned by his father, Bhajan Lal, who was the former Chief Minister of Haryana.
After divorce to Chander Mohan she was living alone in the house after the death of her mother earlier this year; her father had passed away earlier. No suicide note has been found in the body but given the fact that she had tried to commit suicide in 2009, it is feared that she killed herself.
