The missing ‘Wafaa’ star Laila Khan is reported to be dead along with her four family members and a relative in a mass murder on early February last year, informed Jammu and Kashmir police.
The revelation came after Laila’s second husband and Laskar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist Parvez Ahmed Tak informed about it to the police while interrogation.
Tak said that Laila and her family were killed for their money and properties worth crores of rupees.
The Pakistani actor made her debut in Bollywood opposite Rajesh Khanna in Wafaa. Laila and her family went missing around a year ago.
Earlier reports in June had suggested that she was living in Dubai on a fake passport.
Meanwhile, Tak will be taken into custody by the Maharashtra Police for further interrogation.

- Laila lived in a suburban Mumbai flat with her mother Celina, three siblings, and another relative.
- They disappeared from their flat in February last year.
- Laila's father, Nadir Patel, who divorced her mother, filed a police complaint in Mumbai.
- In Jammu, two weeks ago, Laila's stepfather, Parvez Tak, who is a Kashmiri, was arrested in connection with another case. He was the third and current husband of Laila's mother, Celina.
- He has reportedly told the Jammu police that 11 months after Laila and her relatives went missing, they were shot dead near Mumbai by three men who included Celina's second husband, a man named Asif Sheikh.
- The motive for the murder was allegedly the property owned by Laila and her mother. They owned two flats in Mumbai, and Celina's second husband wanted to stop her from selling these apartments.
- Laila's biological father believes that Parvez Tak, who has been arrested, helped in her abduction.
- Laila co-starred with actor Rajesh Khanna in the movie "Wafa" which released in 2008.
- The film's producer, Rakesh Sawant, was questioned by the Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad, about his funding and alleged links to terrorists.
- Laila and her stepfather, Parvez, were seen often visiting a house in Igatpuri near Mumbai. Her posters remain on its walls.
