Mahi rescued after 85 hours, found in a decomposed condition

The much talked story ends today as five years old Mahi, who was stuck in a 70-feetbore well at Khaow village near Gurgaon for 85 hours, was declared dead by hospital authorities. The girl had fallen in the bore well on the night of June20.

The rescue teams had reached the child in the morning but could not save her.

As everyonewas expecting during rescue that she might be alive, the doctors said that shehad died soon after she fell into the 70-feet deep bore well, her body was found in a decomposed condition.

Through the last four days, teams from the Army, Police, National Security Guards (NSG),Gurgaon Civic Authorities, Gurgaon Metro Rail and even Reliance Industries wereinvolved in the rescue operation marred with several roadblocks.

The police sources have informed that the contractor who dug the bore well illegally and left it uncoveredis now missing.

Her distraught parents blamed the administration saying the first police team came only after one and half hours after she fell in and that too without equipment.Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan also blasted on state authorities for such an incident in the social networking sites.
