DMK Protest: Stalin, Kanimozhi court arrest with 50,000workers

About 50,000 workers of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) along with Party chief Karunanidhi's daughter Kanimozhi and son Stalin pour out across the state and give court arrest as part of their Jail Bharo protest against ruling state government today.

Stalin and Kanimozhi were detained by the police and kept in various marriage halls. Kanimozhi is being kept in the YMCA in Nandanam. Kanimozhi’s mother Rajathi Ammal was also present in the protesting site.

The DMK leaders had already announced that the party workers would not seek bail of their remand.  Kanimozhi said the protest was the DMK’s answer to the AIADMK government’s vendetta politics.

Further she alleged that the Jayalalitha’s government has been indulging in vindictive politics from day one in the office and DMK leaders were being arrested without any evidence.
