Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader J P Nadda today lashed out at Minister for External Affairs, SM Krishna, for his lackluster approach towards handling issue of Sarabjit Singh.
Attacking Krishna for his statement over Pakistan’s U-turn on Sarabjit Singh’s acquittal, Nadda said that government should clarify what happened in six hours that Pakistan changed its stand and passed release order of other Indian inmate Surjeet Singh instead of Sarabjit Singh.
Nadda ask that How did Sarabjit become Surjeet? This is an emotional issue. People of the country want to know that why Zardari's office had to issue a late night clarification that it is Surjeet and not Sarabjit.
He took a strong note on External Affairs Ministry for reacting on such an important issue after 18 hours.

Earlier in the morning, India’s External Affairs Minister S.M.Krishna said that he welcomes Islamabad's decision to release Surjeet Singh and added that New Delhi has consistently urged the Government of Pakistan on several occasions to take a sympathetic and humanitarian view in the case of Sarabjit Singh.
